Atos and Tellyo Partner to Promote 2023 European Games
Atos and Tellyo Partner – London, UK, 17th May 2023 – The 3rd European Games will be held this year from the 21st of June to 2nd of July in Kraków and Małopolska, Poland, and will see almost 50 nations come together to compete across 26 different sports. All Olympic sports held at the 2023 European Games will provide qualification opportunities for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Atos, the international media and broadcast solutions provider, will be providing technical and solutions support to the event organisers and will be partnering with Tellyo to help promote the games on digital and social media platforms. “We will have a team of over 30 working at the International Broadcast Centre and we’ll be receiving feeds from every event throughout the Games”, notes Carmen Ruiz de Vargas, Client Executive – Major Events at Atos. “We’ll be creating clips and highlights packages using Tellyo Pro and these will then be distributed to the athletes and the relevant national Olympic committees and sports federations for them to post on their own digital and social media channels. We’re also going to try and automate some of this process using Tellyo Talent, the app that enables pre-approved content to be sent to athletes, sponsors, brand partners and spokespeople for easy online sharing. The aim here is to use the reach of the athletes, various sports federations, governing bodies and European Olympic committees to help promote the Games and encourage viewers to watch the games via their own national broadcasters or portals”. Broadcasting rights for this year’s event are being managed by the EBU, but the event organisers are keen to maximise the profile of the Games by leveraging relevant digital and social media channels as broadly as possible.
With just over one month to go before the opening ceremony, the Atos team are getting ready for this intense project. “We’re going to be creating thousands of clips, I’m sure”, comments Carmen Ruiz de Vargas. “We want to capture the best action within each sport, national performances across sports and even individual athlete performances across the Games, so we’re going to be incredibly busy. Having worked with Tellyo Pro previously, I know it’s a high-performance solution that will enable us to produce quickly and efficiently, and deliver the best of the Games to online audiences in Europe and beyond”.
Richard Collins, Tellyo CEO, says “our relationship with Atos has grown over several years, and we’re very proud to be working with them on this prestigious event. With the 2024 summer games in Paris drawing ever-closer, the European Games will play a big role in determining which athletes make the trip to France. I’m delighted Tellyo is enabling the talented team at Atos to capture and distribute the key moments, thrilling sports fans across the continent. We always say that Tellyo’s cloud-native video production solutions are suitable for events of all sizes because of their scalability, and this project absolutely proves that point”.

Tellyo Unveils Updated Stream Studio for NAB Show 2023
London, UK, 5th April 2023 – Following a busy few months of development, Tellyo is very pleased to announce that its flagship Stream Studio platform for live video production in the cloud is being updated again, and this latest version will be available for demonstration during NAB Show 2023.
2022 was a landmark year for Stream Studio as the multi-user, browser-based platform gained the ability to sync multiple camera feeds, finally making frame-perfect switching of a live multi-camera production in the cloud a reality. Onboard graphics were also added courtesy of Tellyo’s partnership with Finnish company SPX, and a powerful playout feature enabled content creators to build and run true 24/7 channels. In fact, nearly a dozen updates last year added powerful new features and tools, and the list of third-party hardware control devices supported by Stream Studio has grown in tandem.
2023 is shaping up to be equally as dynamic, and V2.1.0 includes the ability to add guests to your production in 1080p resolution, as well as the option to add DVR/timeshift recordings to productions as additional source – ideal for those situations when live action is overlapping across different physical locations. We’re also expanding some existing tools, e.g. making live stream sources visible in playouts, and adding on-screen time display (TCR) for clips and playouts. In addition, we are opening up the ability to add transitions between playlist items, improving production values and the overall audience experience. Finally, X-Keys has been added to the list of partners whose hardware control devices are supported by Stream Studio, offering even more choice and flexibility to customers.
“It has been quite a year for Stream Studio and I’m very pleased that we’ll be showcasing this latest version of the platform at NAB Show”, comments Tellyo CEO Richard Collins. “Our development team has been working hard to combine customer feedback and our ambitious roadmap into powerful new tools and enhancements that help make Stream Studio the most attractive solution for cloud production available today. If you’ve ever been curious about producing in the cloud, come and see us in Las Vegas and we’ll show you how accessible and efficient it can be”.
Tellyo will be demonstrating Stream Studio and Tellyo Pro throughout NAB Show 2023 on booth N2973. To book a meeting with Tellyo, please visit www.tellyo.com/nab.

Tellyo Busts Cloud Production Myths at NAB Show 2023
London, UK, 23rd March 2023 – Tellyo, the complete cloud production platform, is very pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the forthcoming centennial NAB Show in Las Vegas, from April 16-19th 2023. As well as demonstrating the latest version of the flagship Stream Studio platform for live production in the cloud, Tellyo will also be showcasing the Tellyo Pro solution for video clipping, editing and publishing, and highlighting Tellyo Pro’s seamless integration with Adobe® Premiere® Pro. Finally, Tellyo will be taking aim at some cloud production myths during the show, demonstrating why cloud production has now come of age and is suitable for content creators of any scale.
“We’re very much looking forward to a return to Las Vegas”, notes Tellyo CEO Richard Collins. “We’ve made some significant updates to our flagship Stream Studio platform since last year, increasing the number of third-party hardware control devices supported and adding powerful new signal monitoring tools. We’ve also improved the built-in replay engine, increasing buffer time and enhancing the UX for more intuitive use. With multi-camera ingest (fully synced for seamless video switching in the cloud), a 64-channel audio engine with full production talkback, and onboard graphics templates, Stream Studio continues to lead the pack when it comes to functionality, ease of use and value”.
Tellyo COO Dr. Jakub Majkowski is looking forward to demonstrating Tellyo Pro and the clipping solution’s integration with Adobe Premiere Pro. “Tellyo Pro is an incredibly powerful editing and clipping solution in its own right, but the full two-way integration with Adobe Premiere Pro really unlocks new levels of workflow convenience, enabling teams to collaborate across both platforms live and in real time. We’re one of the few technology partners who can offer this level of integration and we’re very proud of our relationship with Adobe”. The feeling seems to be mutual. “As audience appetite for online content continues to grow internationally, content creators need to respond while finding ever more efficient ways of working”, comments Sriram Iyer, Head of Products and Partnerships for professional video at Adobe. “The integration between both Adobe and Tellyo opens up new ways of working and provides even greater choice”.
With this year’s NAB Show being a centennial celebration, Team Tellyo will also be using the exhibition as an opportunity to dispel some of the myths surrounding cloud production’s maturity. “Cloud-native solutions are almost unrecognisable today versus 2019. They are more powerful, secure, accessible and efficient than ever before, and it’s an urban myth that only smaller content producers can benefit from life in the cloud. We know that cloud production is on a march to the mainstream, and we can already demonstrate how it is working for producers and broadcasters of every size and scale”.

Tellyo Innovates Again with Stream Studio V2.0 Release
London, UK, 17th January 2023 – Tellyo, the complete cloud production platform, is very pleased to start the new year with an important new release of the flagship Stream Studio solution. Following a busy 2022, which saw a dozen updates to the popular cloud-native video production platform, the development team is very proud to announce Version 2.0, which includes a number of important architectural changes and associated customer benefits.
Open Up
Thanks to some back-end changes, Stream Studio can now load up projects almost instantaneously. Operators can therefore get to their projects much faster, and start producing without having to wait for assets to load. We know that content producers are always on a deadline, so we’ve got your back!
Complete Control
We’ve been working hard to increase the number of third-party hardware control devices that Stream Studio is compatible with. To this end, Version 2.0 introduces ‘Studio Controller’ – a new module that enables operators to configure and manage third-party devices. As the popularity of cloud-native production solutions grows, many customers want the same tactile control experience they’d have with a more traditional studio-based workflow. It’s all about familiarity and choice, and we’re delivering.
Scoping it Out
Customer feedback is often an important input to our roadmap, and so we’re very pleased to introduce video scopes (waveform monitor and vectorscope following the Rec.709 image standard) for fast identification of problems, e.g incorrect white balance, black and white levels, or synchro scan issues. You asked us for it – here it is.
Other important additions include:
– The ability to change transitions between playlist assets more easily
– Improvements to the visual positioning of in/out markers when creating clips
– A redesigned UX for replays, and a tripling of the buffer size on all four replay inputs
– Greater speed and platform stability when ‘fast grabbing’ replays
– Support for interlaced video inputs, enabling customers to manually enable motion-adaptive deinterlacing on live stream inputs
“We’ve put a tremendous amount of resource into Stream Studio over the last 12 months”, comments Tellyo CTO Dr. Jakub Majkowski, “and the popularity of the platform has grown in tandem. Stream Studio is really coming of age in terms of features and customer-base to the extent that even the largest national-level broadcasters are considering it as part of their post-pandemic operations”. Tellyo CEO Richard Collins agrees. “Many of our customers use Stream Studio as the keystone of their digital and social media content strategy. Digital and social content may have previously been the lesser relation of ‘traditional’ broadcast content but no longer. It’s now the equal sibling thanks to improvements in production values and the sophistication of our platform. This latest version of Stream Studio sets a new standard for cloud-based production and we’re going to keep pushing the bar even higher throughout 2023”.

Rugby League World Cup and Whisper Enhance Reach and Engagement with Tellyo
London, UK, 8th December 2022 – The recent Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) tournament may have been delayed from its intended dates in 2021, but the competition was the most comprehensive ever staged, and saw the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments held concurrently with all participants being paid the same. 32 teams (16 men, 8 women, and 8 wheelchair) from 20 nations competed in a total of 61 matches at various venues across England. For the RLWC organisers and its production partner Whisper, this totem event provided a great opportunity to flex the power of social media and reach a huge international audience using Tellyo Pro.
“We have previously worked with Tellyo on a few different projects, but this was the most significant”, notes Joe Bennet, Creative Digital Lead at Whisper. “The organisers were looking to post six clips per match plus a full highlights package, so it was a very busy schedule for our team. Tight deadlines mean we need to work with a platform that is efficient, robust and performant. We also usually work with a mixture of in-house staff and freelancers, so training and support are both important issues. I’m very pleased to say that Tellyo Pro ticks all of these boxes for us”.
One of the key features of this project was the ability of Tellyo Pro to ingest ProRes broadcast-quality files which could subsequently be shared with broadcasters and other media partners during the tournament. “We were extremely pleased with the quality of the footage and just how wide a reach we achieved”, comments Sara Piper, Head of Digital at Rugby League World Cup. “One clip featuring the challenge war dances conducted by the teams before the Samoa versus Tonga match has been viewed over 15 million times. We posted almost 600 Tellyo Pro clips throughout the tournament – these featured pre-match anthems, in-match action and post-match highlights compilations and were far and away our most engaged-with content. We’re always looking for ways to increase the popularity of Rugby League and reach new audiences – Whisper and Tellyo Pro have really helped us meet that important remit”.
“This year’s event was a thoroughly memorable World Cup”, notes Tellyo CEO Richard Collins. “I’m very proud that we were able to meet the challenging quality requirements set by the tournament organisers, and also help set a new standard for audience engagement in the men’s, women’s and wheelchair games. We’ve seen digital and social media content transformed from the lesser relation of traditional broadcast to the twin sibling, and we’re very pleased to be playing our part in that ongoing trend”.
