A native of Asbury Park in New Jersey, Jacob has been working in and around video for nearly a decade, having held various roles as a Videographer, Technical Director, Sports Highlight Editor, and Solutions Engineer. Jacob graduated from Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Art and Design, and received a Sports Emmy® award in 2019 for his contributions to MLB Tonight. When not at work, Jacob can be found at the Silverball Museum and Arcade in Asbury Park trying (and failing) to take down local pinball records.

Tellyo Announces Latest Feature Enhancements to Tellyo Pro
London, UK, 23rd March 2022 – Tellyo Pro is the media production industry’s fastest growing cloud solution for video editing, clipping and streaming, and Tellyo is now very pleased to announce the release of the latest version V2.30.0 – codename ‘Jessie Rasberry’.
This latest release sees the introduction of Watch Folders that help users monitor and import video content from a variety of different sources. Twitch integration will help make life a little easier for our customers working in the esports industry, and we’re pleased to introduce several new housekeeping features that improve ease of use and organise content more efficiently. This update also optimises system performance when customers are previewing/rendering compilation clips, as well as offering greater customisation and personalisation of system notifications.

V2.30.0 sees the introduction of Watch Folders. Using these, customers can store content in S3, Dropbox or FTP sources and Tellyo Pro will automatically import these assets directly into folders, saving time and simplifying workflows.
Feeling Twitchy?
Twitch is often the esports industry’s streaming platform of choice, and Tellyo Pro has now adopted the Twitch API and therefore integrates seamlessly with Twitch, making it easier for esports customers to live stream esports content.
Peak performance
Tellyo is pleased to introduce a number of small housekeeping improvements that will help customers working with large numbers of clips or creating sizeable compilations. These changes primarily help speed up the preview and rendering of larger clips and compilations. We’ve also switched to an alternative email service to overcomelimits imposed by the previous provider on the number of recipients of email notifications. Finally, we’ve enabled users to change and optimise the email notifications they receive, for greater personalisation of their Tellyo Pro experience.

Tellyo Releases V1.28 of Stream Studio with Innovative Stream Synch Engine
London, UK, 15th February 2022 – Tellyo, the complete cloud-based video production platform, is today pleased to announce the latest version of its flagship Stream Studio solution. Stream Studio was launched less than two years ago and has grown to become an industry-leading platform used by customers like Liberty Global, ESPN and Sunset+Vine to create compelling live content that can be easily streamed to multiple digital and social media destinations.
The latest version of Stream Studio (V1.28 – codename ‘Black Burst’), is remarkable because it makes frame-perfect switching of a live multi-camera production in the cloud a reality. This is thanks to a new stream synchronization engine that precisely synchronizes inputs from multiple camera feeds. V1.28 also includes Tellyo Intercom, which enables full duplex communication between your production team and talent. In addition, this latest version opens up more granular and precise control of Stream Studio’s powerful audio mixing capabilities by merging the advanced and simple audio mixers into a single unified solution.
The new built-in stream synch engine changes the game by synchronizing incoming multiple camera streams that share a common timestamping scheme. The engine supports SMPTE 12M SEI in-band timecode metadata (the ‘digital’ VITC/LTC) and ‘wallclock’ NTP/PTP timestamps. With incoming streams that include the timing information you can now switch a remote multi-camera production live in the cloud, without having to worry about cameras getting out of sync. Stream Studio even supports multiple timing schemes within the same production. Depending on your Internet connectivity, either an adaptive or static buffering mechanism can be chosen. Robert Szabo-Rowe is Senior Vice President, Engineering & Product Management with The Switch, a long-standing Tellyo partner. “This update is critical and the technology lets us create professional, frame perfect, multi-camera sports productions”, he notes. “We’ve never been able to do that live in the cloud before. By removing the issue of video packets arriving with different and inconsistent delays, we can now give our audience a much higher quality and more engaging experience”.

Tellyo central to Ascot Racecourse fan engagement and commercial strategy
Ascot Racecourse is synonymous with global sports fans, bringing exciting horse racing meetings to thousands of spectators each year with millions more watching worldwide.
Central to their fan engagement and commercial strategy is their usage of Tellyo’s intuitive broadcast quality streaming, clipping, editing, publishing and distribution toolset.
Tellyo and Ascot Racecourse have worked together since 2017, building a trusting relationship that has enabled the Ascot Racecourse team to constantly innovate, attract commercial partnerships with their content and out perform their competitors across their digital ecosphere.
Ahead of each meeting, Rhys Hayward, the Digital Editor at Ascot Racecourse, and his team upload branded bumpers to Tellyo Pro.
With the live broadcast feed quick and easy to ingest into the system, the digital team watch the racing unfold. In real-time, the team live clip the final two furlongs of each race, where it is won and lost, and prepare the clip for distribution by adding their own graphics within Tellyo Pro.
Once the team are happy, the pre-prepared branded bumpers, showcasing Ascot’s sponsors and partners, automatically top and tail each specific piece of content to streamline their workflow.
Distributed to Twitter and Facebook within moments of the race finish, fans around the world can watch back the crucial moments and gain immediate insight.
The Ascot team successfully used Tellyo during the first part of 2021, including Royal Ascot. This helped result in a record performance for Ascot’s social channels, including 6.3m video views across the week.
After the summer break, the Autumn/Winter season officially began on Friday 1 October with a two-day Flat Meeting where the team continued their use of Tellyo.
The season continues through November with Jumps and into December with the Howden Christmas Racing Weekend.

Enhancements and New Aspect Ratios
Tellyo Pro continues to deepen its integration with Facebook with the launch of improved tools. One feature is our new 4:5 aspect ratio options. Instagram lead the way for the 4:5 aspect ratio for optimal viewing on mobile, and it is now also a widely accepted best practice for vertical video publishing across the wider Facebook and social universe. Further monetisation efficiencies are included via an improved Facebook Branded Content and Crossposting activation within the Tellyo Pro platform.
Enhancements to Access Controls
In a more major release, Tellyo has introduced a new internal CMS structure referred to as ‘Folders’. Folders offer a structure for the ultimate control and management of all video and image assets, but in an easy to use and flexible file system. Folders being a natural UI for linking with external archive and storage assets. Folders presents a highly searchable CMS that can equally allow for granular restriction of content or sharing access to non Tellyo users from Partners and Sponsors. Our new notifications tools making team collaboration far simpler.
New Notifications
Tellyo Pro now provides new item notifications in folders sent between organisations, allowing for seamless workflows. Allowing for further efficiency, the platform also now provides notifications for items published when no folder is selected, as well as for new items in folders.

We are proud to share that we were selected as a finalist in the Sports and Performance Data Technologies category for the 10th annual SXSW Accelerator Pitch Event®.
The SXSW Accelerator is the marquee event of South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference & Festivals (March 9-18, 2018) Startup & Tech Sectors Track, where leading startups from around the world showcase some of the most impressive technology innovations to a panel of hand-picked judges and a live audience.
