Today, the International Table Tennis Federation announced its deal with Tellyo, the most advanced social video production, editing and sharing platform on the market.
Tellyo will support the ITTF with the creation and sharing of video content on ITTF’s official social media channels and for all 80 ITTF tournaments; calendar highlights include the Seamaster 2017 ITTF World Tour, World Championships and World Cup Series.
The decision to work with Tellyo was made after an initial trial in February 2017, when the ITTF reached over three million fans and achieved 600,000 views of the video content Tellyo created.
Matthew Pound, Head of Communications at ITTF, said:
“We have found Tellyo to be a great platform for providing short form content for our fans from our top events, in real-time. This has increased engagement dramatically. We are looking forward to working with Tellyo to explore new functionalities to further service our fans.”
He continued: “There are similar services now on the market, however the ITTF chose Tellyo because it offered the best functionality, in a simple layout, for a competitive price.”
Using Tellyo, the ITTF will stream parts of its matches live on Facebook as well as show full games via its online streaming platform ‘itTV’. Tellyo will also enable the governing body to create video clips, featuring spectacular shots and rallies, that can then be shared on social platforms in seconds.
Our CEO, Richard Collins said:
“We’re delighted to partner with the ITTF. Table tennis is a great sport with a huge global following. Through the use of Tellyo, we look forward to helping the ITTF grow its following to new heights and increasing its engagement levels across their social platforms. The initial results are encouraging for both parties, with over three million individuals engaging with the content during a limited test.”
